Luoping Small Yellow Ginger has a long history of cultivation, which can be traced back to the 30th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, with the continuous expansion of production and market, the small ginger industry has gone through three basic stages: early small-scale agricultural production, mid-term commodity production, and recent market-oriented development, gradually embarking on the path of industrial development.
As early as 1958, Luoping ginger became an export commodity. In 1989, 12 townships in the county planted a total of 7.175 acres of ginger, with a total output of over 8.5 million kilograms. In 1999, the county party committee and government first included ginger in the subsequent cultivation industry. After more than 20 years of development, the small yellow ginger industry has evolved from sporadic planting to an integrated industrial chain that includes production, processing, storage, and sales
